Well, I did it! I got to meet Rick Riordan! For the first time ever an author won the Mark Twain Award two years in a row, so amazingly he got to accept last year's award and this year's at the same time! He was a very funny and gracious presenter. With all the excitement of the upcoming movie and release of The Last Olympian on May 5th there was a real "rock star" feel in the air.
